Watershed Community Development is a community-based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that operates and develops affordable artist and artisan work spaces, workforce housing, and community space.
We center folks who live and work in the Duwamish Valley; BIPOC individuals; artists; and those who come from communities that have been, or are at risk of being displaced from this region.
Watershed grew from the roots of the Equinox Studios creative complex; building around the deep culture of arts in Georgetown, we are committed to helping the neighborhood flourish and encouraging others to plant their own seeds of community, creativity and collective well-being.
Our mission is to build resilient communities through affordable placemaking and placekeeping. We create at the intersection of arts, equity, and collective well-being.
We have programmatic arms: Arts, Housing, and Community.
